ROBERT MARSHALL KUTCHEY, III

Mr. Kutchey joined the firm in 2014 and represents individuals, businesses, and financial institutions in a broad range of complex legal matters. His practice focuses on commercial and business litigation, corporate law, business organizations, commercial and residential real estate transactions, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, contract negotiation and disputes, appellate advocacy, and trust and estate planning. He regularly counsels clients on strategies to mitigate risk, safeguard assets, and achieve favorable outcomes in both transactional and litigation settings.

Mr. Kutchey has served as lead counsel for several of the firm’s longstanding clients, including The Jones Company, Walker-Jones Chevrolet Buick, Inc., PrimeSouth Bank, Okefenokee Golf Club, Inc., Dabbs-Williams General Contractors, LLC, NG Solutions, LLC, Yancey Bros. Co., HD Companies, LLC, Mint Green Tag Sale Company, LLC, Old Savannah Tours, LLC, and Jones Family Dental. In these roles, he provides comprehensive legal guidance on corporate governance, contract matters, real estate transactions, and litigation strategy.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kutchey earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management. While at UGA, Mr. Kutchey was awarded the Governor’s Scholarship, the Chevron-Texaco Havoline Scholarship, and the Law School Association Scholarship in recognition of his academic excellence.

A Savannah native and 2005 graduate of Calvary Day School, Mr. Kutchey previously served on the school’s Board of Advisors and remains active in the local community. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2013 and is licensed to practice before the Superior Courts of Georgia, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia.

Mr. Kutchey has also participated as a presenter in continuing legal education programs on topics including Drafting Business Contracts, Authentication and Admissibility of Social Media and E-mail Evidence, Hearsay Objections and Exceptions, Witness Preparation, and Collections: Enforcing Your Judgment.
